The farmhouse that accompanies the Estate completes an offering aimed at highlighting the geographical and food and wine riches of the Piacenza Hills in an atmosphere that invites a complete and stimulating sensory experience.
A small oasis of peace just steps from the Food Valley!
A further turning point came in the 1990s when Massimo, after his studies, joined the company full time and his father, strengthened by his establishment on the estate, bought a neighbouring farm with arable land and disused buildings.
In a few years, the arable land became vineyards for the production of DOC wine grapes, while the buildings, initially used as tool sheds, in 2015 became the site of the family’s agritourism consisting of 3 flats, seven rooms, a suite, a restaurant and a swimming pool for guests.
Since 2005, the farm structures immersed in the vineyards, previously dedicated only to farm vehicles, have been transformed into a romantic and welcoming location.
The Agriturismo La Ratta is located in the province of Piacenza, specifically in the Ongina Valley, an area that is very rich both on a naturalistic level because it is part of the Parco del Piacenziano and on an architectural level because it is in the centre of an important historical and cultural context (Castell’Arquato and Vigoleno).
The structure, an annex to the nearby Tenuta La Ratta farm, has an infinity pool with salt water for the exclusive use of guests; a restaurant with 0 km products and a la carte menus; and family flats and suites in which the watchword is comfort: ample space and brightness with a view of the vineyards.
Throughout the complex it is possible to stay in a family and country atmosphere, in absolute quietness.
